Ramp?

Post by Exnav »

What do you guys that haul your bike in the bed of the truck use? I have always used a 2X6, but might be time to step up to a good ramp.

I use a folding atv ramp. My truck is lifted, so I can push the bike up one side of it and walk up the other side.

I love it when locals at the track see me lift the front tire onto my tail gate, then come running to help, only to watch me throw it in and slam it closed.

Ramp? I don't need no stinking ramp!

Two 2x8's for me. My Dodge sits really high in the back, so like a couple other guys I walk up one and push the bike up the other.

I use these from Harbor freight..got them for 39 bucks......but they can be slippery even when not wet......can you say cheesegrater on your back???........so after slipping all the way to the bottom a few too many times, i recently got some one inch wide grip tape and put a strip on each cross beam.......even the ones with the holes. I only did one ramp.

i bought a folding ramp on sale at walmart years ago for under $20...
works great, even on heavier bikes..(sportbikes, cruisers, etc)

still looks like new too. has a slight curve to it, so if the bike has low clearance, it still doesnt high center (not an issue on our bikes, but nice to have.)

I used a 6' aluminum ramp that still works after having a rocket explode on top of it!

Here it is after I tried straightening it (I didnt try too hard)

Danny, you should recall avoiding that same rocket! ;)
Too bad you wont make the trip this year. :(

It was really funny how it bounced off that one dudes ass, then shot into the truck bed!

I got a 750lb rated folding ramp, that is arched for street bikes off ebay from the manufacturer for $55. it is a nice ramp.
