Wedding ring

Post by Janne »

Just got married today and I have a simple question,
Do you take rings off your fingers when riding?
I have heard horror stories about rings and riding/crashing, anyone
with first hand experience?

ABSOULTLY!!! I never wear mine during the day.

I saw a guy jump off a truck, have the ring snag on the rack, and tear his finger clean off.

I have also seen a mechanic holding a wrench while working on a battery have the wrench ground out, get REAL hot, REAL quick, and have the heat transfered to the ring and give a terrible burn.

Lastly, I have seen a guy eat it on a dirt bike, and smash the ring down so tight it had to be cut off...... the ring, not the finger.

Be smart, leave it home.

mine never leaves my finger.. Usually 20 minutes into a ride my hands are so swollen anyways from hanging on for dear life i usually dont have to worry about it.. Plus with gloves on if it does come off more than likely it will end up in your glove
