its a 78 suzy gs550 its a one owner that belonged to a doctor. he used it to commute to college then garaged it. it shined up real nice. 400 bucks. it should pay for itself with 50+ mpg.

Cool, looks good. That's the very same bike my buddy crashed and died on. He hit a parked car and split his chest open on the rear fender. Don't drink and ride is the moral of that story.

Nice find! Watch the regulator/rectifier, I've had 4 GS over the years and they all had the same problem. Here's a good source for any questions:

thanks for the tip, i was also told the stator is prone to problems too.
seems to be a tank of a bike from what i have been told. i will ride it the rest of this season then ill sell it in spring to get my new kawasaki versys.

Cool little bike. I picked up a '74 Honda CB550 a couple months ago for the same purpose. Mine's been dubbed the ambiguously gay motorcycle though, since it's got sparking orange metalflake paint...

yeah, its a fun little round town bike. way to revved out for the highway though. but 50+ mpg is nice, for sure.
