did you make an aluminum airboot?

Yes.

I couldn't get the 500 boot to work at all, after I grinded the frame and
pushed the 500 boot as far as I could towards the carb before it touched the
shock there was still a 1-2 cm gap. I think I have tilted the engine a little bit
more than normal.

I didn't want to use the 450 boot because of the restricted airflow, so I made
one in alu. Maybe I do another, little bit cleaner, if I have the time.

it looks like it will do the trick for i sure...i don't know how some people got the 450 boot to fit, i heated it up until it was melting and i still ripped it....Airbox is the only thing holding me back...your conversion looks cool... Oh and how did you get your brake lever to stop rubbing against the clutch cover?

Looks good.

Ser etter en CR 500 i Sverige, vet du om noen andre nettsider enn blocket.se?

I just bent the lever with a hammer. I also replaced the steel end of the pedal with aluminum one.
