OT: Need a good performance shop

My son's YZ80 needs more bottom end. He's strictly a single tracker. Rarely has a need for hard acceleration. I've got the jug off, it looks to be in good shape. It's ready to be sent off.

Has anybody had their 80 worked over by a good shop with good results? What did they do? What did they charge? Slomas?

Mr. Eric Gorr has quoted me $50 and 1 week turnaround to mill the base, remove some material from the head and epoxy the transfer ports. A local shop wants $250 for the same thing and 3 weeks turnaround.

I would say give GSS a shot:

Glen Howell
(661)609-9272

He will literally talk your ear off. But he does very good work and is a nice guy.

He has a flow bench also to check his work.

pfftt!!! :bong:

$775?!?! :yikes:
100 octane?

You've lost your mind Bobby! I barely paid that much for the bike. :toilet:

I've had YZ80's that were way more rideable than this one. I'm sure porting will do the job for under a C-note.
