What exactly is the benefit of this system besides the different ignition curve and the lighting coil?

Look at the stock one and most off the out side weight is metal, on this one it has way thicker magnets, thicker magnet = strong magnetic field. This unit was designed by HRC for all out endro racing while Honda was still into the 500 program.
