This is September Fury, a Hawker Sea Fury powered by a Pratt & Whitney R3350.... Makes about 4500 horsepower.
It's one of the premier aircraft flown at the Reno Air Races.
Usually is sounds like this...
These laps are in the high 470 mph range
But , when the engine saw;s itself in half... things get exciting ... QUICK!
Notice the sound, and vibration....
Mike Brown did a hell of a job getting her down....
Takes big balls to do this....
