When I tore my 89 down, I discovered the last time the swingarm bolt saw grease was in 88 when it was assembled.
long story short I damaged one of the flanged races that are pressed into the side cases that your swingarm bolt goes through.
I called Honda and they said "How did you get that out? its not suppose to come out" I told him after awhile somethins got to give, the inside races for the swingarm bearings are frozen to the swingarm bolt so......I cut the bolt just inside the swingarm, the problem is, I screwed up the flanged hardened sleeve that goes into the case.
The only way I can get a new one is to buy the whole case so my question is...ANYONE GOT AN OLD BROKEN CASE I CAN BUY? so I can get the swingarm bolt sleeve out of it?
Stupid , I know but I did it
Thanks

I think UPS wants me to send them the case I had the damage claim on, if that happens, I will pop out the bushing for you.

That would be AWSOME, if it works out, I would be happy to pay you for it.

Hey all, I had a machine shop make me a set of the flanged bushings for my 5.
they used a stainless with a rockwell of 30, they estimated the oem to have a rockwell of 50.
any metalergists on here?
what do you think, will they be strong enough???
