i was told this is what the thingy is for. has anyone seen it before and how in the fuck does it wor and what is it's purpose. i got the carb off ebay a while back and got a good deal on it. it's almost brand new pwk 39. the boot side was turned which made it easier for the stock 450 boot to go on. thats mainly why i bought it. i thought i would worrk about ther "over rev tingy" later. oh yeah why the float bowl things. they go from one side to the other.

Its not a 39mm PWK, those dont have the venting system as shown here.
Do you see the vanes on the upstream side... as shown in the photo?

that thing on the housing is an adjustable powerjet... good for drags and SM, no need on trails or MX
If you want to know more do a search on "powerjet"s because I've been going off about this for a year

The only non "Airstriker" quad vent PWK I know of is the 36mm version.
I wonder if someone drilled / tapped the vents themselves?

Then its a 36mm, or a home made quad vent.

home made quad vent. like I said, the hex heads below the hoses on the upper vents show it was drilled and tapped.

Turn the little knob clockwise to shut it off.

naaa, I'd put a 140-150 main in it (%20 reduction) then turn it way out, the first time you get on it and hold it, it should blubber, keep turning it in until it stops blubbering and you'll be haulin ballz!

I believe my GSS motor has a 140-145 in the main plus the power jet.
Where could I get ahold of one of those adjustable powerjets? would it be a direct replacement for the mikuni I have now? Another worry... it won't adjust itself with vibes, etc will it?
