I get great reviews whenever I serve these bad boys up....

I dont have photos, but its super easy...

Go Buy:

2 Big Bags of Hash Browns

8 Cups Cheese ( your choice.. I like the " Mexican Blend" types)

2 Sticks Butter

4 Cups Sour Cream

2 bunches of those green onions and chop up into chives

Mix everything in a big bowl.... add Salt and Pepper to taste...

Dump it into a glass casserole dish... bake @ 350 for about 40 minutes.

Finish off under " Broil" to brown the top....

DONE!

The whole thing is super easy, takes 1 bowl, and 1 dish...

If your really coordinated, mix it in the dam dish.. forget the bowl all together.

Taste is unbelievable..... much like the calorie count....

ENJOY!!

My version.......

Hoon Taters:

6 large russet taters (chop em up)
1 white onion (cut it up)
1/4 stick of butter
1TB Kosher Salt
1TB Black Pepper
1Tsp Paprika
1Tsp Chili powder Add more if you like it spicy.
1/4 cup olive oil

Throw is all together and mix it up. Wrap it all up in foil and toss em on the grill. When the taters are tender...its done....chow down!

Campfire tators. Put medium tator into a foil wrapper, jab it with a fork a bunch of times. Add a few slabs of red onion. Add a few chunks of butter. Close wrapper and wrap again with more foil. Stick the goodies into the red hot coals, not into the flames, and bury them well. Wait for 30 minutes, then take them out with bbq tongs. Eat with cottage cheese, some other cheese, or sour cream, or whatever you like.
