01 cr250 forks in 99 cr500 triple?

Anyone know if 01 cr250 showas will fit the 99 cr500 triple? Thanks for any input. 
(Edit) And if not is there any that will? I heard somewhere that you could run 97-08 showas and then people told me you cant.
