Oooooooooohhhhhhhh that's the Big Sabre

The only thing it needs is the Hondaline fairing!

I have the little Sabre V45 but it has almost 80,000 miles on it.

I always wanted the V65!

Love the V65 Sabre...I owned a 1984 700 Sabre that was Black, Silver and Red with a Stilletto fairing. I miss that bike.

That bike does look clean!
The only thing that you have to worry about on them is the cams the oiling system wasn't the greatest and some bikes didn't get enough oil up to the camshafts so they can take a beating. If the guy maintained it well and used decent oil it shouldn't be a problem.

So you gonna pull the trigger and get it?
You won't regret it.

She is very well kept, despite having to be stored outdoors. There is a bit of sun damage on the instrument cluster and throttle and brake housings. But that is purely cosmetic. Needs a new brake pedal. Current one is half gone from when it went down. Minimal damage for having gone down.

Yep. I'm gonna get her. He gets off work at 2:30. Hopefully he didn't sell it last night.

Damn I am jealous!

If you do end up with her here is a board that has tons of info on the V4s

I'm CR500guy on there but don't post at all.

She's all mine. Will post pics later. Few items need attention, but nothing desperate. The seat foam is toast, so long rides are out of the question til that is dealt with. Rear tire has a bit of rot, despite looking otherwise new. It's an Avon. I know lots of people really like Avon tires, but I have had a couple and hated them, so I'll be replacing that with a Metzeler. I may burn it down first though, hehehe. The tach no worky. I'm sure I can take care of that. Gotta have a new brake pedal! Stat! Bit of an exhaust leak. Easy fix. And throttle cable needs a good lubing. Sweet mosheen indeed though!

Sometimes the tach no workie is because the ignitor coil is bad but that also means it is only running on two of the four cylinders. There is one coil for each bank of cylinders. If you want to easily check if the coil is bad just swap the coils and see if the tach starts working. Or i could be just a loose wire.

Did i mention I was jealous?
