How did you start your Holiday Weekend

This is how i started mine... Minding my own buisness headed down eastern just left the light at trop.. see some brake lights ohh a good 6-7 car lengths up.. hit my brakes and do nothing but slide... all the oil and antifreeze and everythign else all the damn polluter cars in vegas leak on the ground just sent me sliding.. No matter what i did crank the wheel pump the brakes hit the e-brake ( thats how long i slid had enough time to think it out before i went ahhhh sh*t. the other driver said the same thing he was like man i sat there adn tried getting out of the way and even tapped the lady in front of him goin hey move.) i was headed straight for that trailblazer like there were huge a$$ magnets in both our cars.
I ended up with a damn traffic citation for too fast for the conditions when in reality i wasnt going tooooo fast Hit the brakes at about 15-20 and hit the other guy prolly 5mph - 10mph or so wasnt violent but the cop said someone gets a ticket adn since you hit him its gonna be you.. wonderful..
ohh well.. sh*t happens.. Told the wife we should have kept the truck this wouldnt have happend lol.
The hood was damn near folded in half.. When the cop was getting ready to leave he saw me jump up on the hood a$$ first and flatten it.. Kinda looked at him and said hey i gotta get it home somehow lol.
It is still driveable as i drove it home however i cant get the hood to latch anymore ( went to open it to inspect it even more and now it wont latch again ohh well ) and of course the damn insurance company is out till tuesday so i cant even get it to a shop to get appraised and looked at.
I know its gonna need a hood, passenger fender, radiator, rad support, hood latch brace thingy, headlight since all the tabs are broke on one of em, and some other stuff.
So who does body work and can hook me up

majorly sucks...you definitly got me beat, although, I thought my water heater blew since it flooded my garage. Went to Home depot and bought a $500 new one, got home started removing the old one and found the rubber 0-rings on the inlet and outlet were crusty hard and falling apart! The house is 3 F@#$ING YEARS OLD!!! stuff is falling apart everywhere!
I found some rubber seals that were close enough, got the pilot lit and the thing held water and worked fine! HAHA
I had the same thing happen to me in henderson heading north on stephanie just before warm springs. Some pill head old dude hit his brakes on a green and I was the 5th car in the back that couldn't stop fast enough

there was too much traffic to just turn! The guy then tried to say his neck hurt, I almost made it hurt for real! luckily the guy in front of me hit first and the buick in front of him bounced off, then I hit him, so I was only at fault for hitting one car, we settled away from insurance companies, I gave him $800 for his bumper and we called it a day.
still major bummer dude

Sucks.

And it's amazing what 5 to 10 mph does to cars these days, fricken plastic fantastic crap. Any ole' 70's full size would just need a small buff out and be good as new. Glad your ok. I had my fridge fail on me on friday. Geebus I just bought this sucker like a year and 4 months ago and suddenly the ice dispenser door starts flappin' and the front panel starts blinking, then the fridge stops cooling. This pos cost me 2500 bucks and went kaput in less then a year and a half. My old fridge growing up had food in the freezer 4 times that old and worked fine before we gave it up for a "eficient model". So I go online and find that there is a grip of folks with my same fridge and the exact same symptoms. Lucky for the blogs, I found out what to replace and got it shipped over night. Ten minutes and 200 dollars later my fridge is working again.

Reminds me, 5 or 6 years ago, same weekend, pull into chapparral and a guy with a boat backs into my hood. Hey dude! nice prop job on the hood.

Ended up getting a new windshield and half the car painted on sep claims not against him. Now she sits in the drive ready for the junk yard. Sure would like to keep the hood though still looks great.

I couldn't even tell you how many things I bumped into in my '62 lincoln... one time I ran over a small tree (probably 6" diameter trunk) and all it did to the car was leave some sap on my 200lb 1/4" steel bumper!
They definitly don't make them like the used to

freakin beer cans i swear.. Book on the car in shitty condition is about 7800 or so.. my buddy aaron told me it cost him well over 5 to fix his altima a few years ago in a similar state so im hoping that the insurance will go ehhh fugg it.. send that bitch to the junkyard and gap will cover the rest

Sorry to hear about the car ISBB. With the KM closure we took a trip down near your old neighborhood @ superstition it was great weather for the desert this weekend although had a constant 10mph wind.
Good luck with the insurance...

The bombing range... Back in the day we used to find some of the flair's that did not go off and make a campfire on top of a dune and set them off and night ride. Those phosphorus (sp) sticks were awesome although we had to deny where they came from a few times
