"Sorry for your luck but why didn't you get his plate #, report him and get his insurance to cover? I had a Lowe's truck loose a sheet of plywood on the highway and shatter on my hood of the S. Followed the dude(yeah he didn't stop right away) and when he stopped I told him what transpired and after a moment or so of trying to worm out of it he came clean. Called Lowes and trust me they bent over backwards to make it right. Paid for the hood to be painted and gave me nearly 1K for my time. Again, sorry about your luck. later Ron"

I've never seen or heard of anybody being compensated over and above damages. How refreshing.

I usually prefer Lowes over home repot... However alot of the homes here in town were built with home depot crap so if i need to fix something in the house to match i usually have to get it at lowes.. IE paint brands and mix's molding crap like that... My dog ate a corner piece of shoe molding and the only place that had the same style was home depot.. ohh well.. When the damn nieces and nephews used my spare bedroom wall as a canvas for their mural i wanted to strangle them... Only place with the same brand of paint and color mix.. Home Depot.. My landlord is gonna love me when i move out.. House looks better than when we moved in.. and thats after all the fun incidents with the dogs and sister in law's kids...

Lowes gets all my plumbing and yard maintenance shopping.. dogs love my dripper system DOH!

Yeah, but try returning something there w/o a receipt...they are a PITA!

I've always been partial to home depot, I rarely find whan I'm looking for a lowes.
