Gen 2 CDi mounting position.

After reading elsewhere of the benefits of a 2001 CR250 ignition system & it "bolts straight on" a 500 motor. I went ahead & got hold of one to fit to my Gen 1. After machining the back of the stator plate to get that to "bolt straight on" i've now found that the CDI unit wont fit where the 99 CDI unit fits. Can anyone post or send me ( ugly1171@hotmail.com ) a picture of where the 250 CDI fitted on the Gen 2 chassis, i think its on the front of the headstock or mounted behind the number plate.
