i havent seen a twin cr500 in person, my pit neighbor at widowmaker last year had 2 yz490 twins though. a side by side mated together and a front/rear like this one. had a hell of a time gettin em tuned though. spent all his time jetting.

What is that sticking out of the side covers

Pretty sure that's where you hook up an external electric starter, since the kickers are gone.

I dont know about that. Its poking out off centered and its on both sides of the bike.

Its only on the stator side and the nuts are coming out of the center of the flywheels

Heres an aircooled one being fired up...

each engine has one, but they are not on both sides of the bike. They are defenitly starting bolts for electric starters.

Yah my bad. The pictures made it look like 2 different sides of the bike.

well he almost burned himself by not setting a reserve price but he took it off and relisted it with a reserve. but it ended at 1600 this time so i dont think he will relist it again. i think his reserve was around 53-5600.00
