and the prognosis is not very good for riding this year. Long story short; I have been dealing with a tendon issue in my elbow for over a year and after all the therapy, drugs, injections and herbal supplements, I am at the point to where it's time to have the surgery. If this latest MRI tells the story, then I will be out for several months of rehab.

Soooo.....it would be a shame to have my just finished bike sitting the rest of this year and I have a bro that is wanting to get rid of his Gen 3 250 and converting one the later chassis interests me.

Would you sell the Gen 1 conversion?

Hang on to it an ride next year?

I just hate to see it sit and I am believer that these bikes are made to ride.

My vote would be to keep it. It will give you something to work towards.

How badly do you want a gen 3, and how attached are you to the gen 1?

Building the bike might keep you occupied when you can't ride... :D

If you can sell the gen 1 without losing money, then sell it and do a gen 3 conversion while your are healing.

I would keep the Gen 1, sell the 3, and find a 4 during rehab.
