That's the wrong place. The turn off is pretty much just after the 14 395 merge.

The Troy Meadow and Fish Creek Campgrounds provide centralized access to most of the trails found on the Kern Plateau. These campgrounds (elevation 7,800 ft.) are located approximately 54 miles northeast of Kernville via Mtn. 99 and Sherman Pass Road (22S05), or 33 miles west of Hwy. 395 via Nine-Mile Canyon Road (J41), and are open from June to November, depending on weather conditions.

RATTLESNAKE TRAIL (33E22) -
This trail parallels Rattlesnake Creek and is best suited for advanced riders due to its steep slopes and several creek crossings. (10 miles)

Not to freak anyone out but this is a trail we will hit, this is not the place to go if your not a good rider.........period.... our group rides have turned back for less, in fact they have turned back on this ride from guys that should not have beeen there. I have seen guys that thought they where good riders get stuck and stall time after time on hills bringing the whole ride to a stop waiting for them to strat there bike and climb the hill, over heating.

I will have LB Lewis with us on this run he is 12 years old, I would consider James a solid C rider. The rest of the clan B-C riders .

if your not a SOLID C rider do not make the trip. I know this is kinda bull crap but we will have other rides through out the year that you should atend . its just this one ant it dont be afended we will ride together soon.

Bob you can delete this if you want to I just thought it should be said.

To change that to a C, put a 13 tooth up front. Drop the pilot a size and the needle a clip or two.

And lay off the weed, nitrous, muscle relaxers, and everything else...

Jay, I'll never forget that Jawbone ride where that dude couldnt get up that hill, and wouldnt let Chance do it for him.... The whole group had to 180 it...

That sucked.

I would say that everyone should come out to K/M, but know your limitations... and ride the easier trails if necessary.

The place is too beautiful ..... come on out just to hang for the weekend.

I say to Bob "I can't wait it's only like a little over two weeks away and we get to hang out with his family go ride at one of the bitchenest places there is" he say's "No not in a couple of weeks because he'll be in New York!" I say "What about Kenneady Meadows" and Bob say's "Is that in a couple of weeks?" What a fukin RETARD! Thanks for lunch Bob! So far it's my troop and the Clan. In 40+ years of riding and camping this is the coolest place I can think of to go. It's beautiful there and you can ride, fish, hunt, hike and from what I hear if Jay has his way you'll have to smell his fingers! We'll be thinking about you guy's for... about 10 seconds! hahahaha!

I just got off the phone with the Ranger station and they said the Camp ground is open! but, you can't ride yet she said the crews were going up as we were speaking on the phone and said they were really pushing hard to be open and to call back for an update!
