which silencer for my AF???

Post by dannygraves »

ok, so looking at silencers I have a lot of choices.
I seem to recall that the 89-90 silencers fit the AF better, but I can only get a powercore for that
for the newer years I can get the powercore 2, turbine core, and Q
I like the idea of the sparky, but I don't "need" it, I do a lot of desert and dunes riding, where there isn't anything to catch fire. I like the idea of the Q, because noise can be an issue. Now heres my real question...
what kind of power loss would I be looking at with the turbine core and Q? at the dunes I use every bit of power I have, so if it will be noticeable, I will go with the powercore2, if the turbine core and powercore won't be much different, but the Q really boggs it down, then I will go with the turbine core.
Thanks
Danny

The "Q" is farce... I have never heard an installation that I would call quiet... darn thing is pretty loud.

That said, go with the one that is going to make the power....

If dunes are the game, then Powercore is the name!

thanks 808, I got the powercore2 and I figure if I ever go someplace that requires a sparky, then I will just have to buy a sparky that adds on to the end.

Isn't the Powercore2 a sparky?

no, the turbine core and Q are. But I figure for the dunes I was the strait through design to get as much power as possible.
