Ballinger Canyon

Post by Xylicon »

Man it was finally nice to meet a few people from the board, thanks for the tank strap and tie downs Mike! I have a few pics and video, check em out.

How much snow came down after I left? Seemed to clear up pretty good when I got about 30 minutes closer to the coast.

There was a head on collision between a guy in our group and another KTM, I rolled up on the scene about 5 seconds after it happened, both were unconscious but were eventually ok, one was airlifted as a precaution.

well that really sucks... were hand signals used on the trail? Isn't the rule of thumb for both riders to turn right (if possible). Sure a bad situation to a fun day in the dirt.

I can't speak for everyone in the group but the riders I could see in front of me were signaling.

My family and I stopped by Todd's house to see him on the way home and he said to say "Thank you to everyone!" It was an unfortunate accident he broke his wrist and will recover. Yeah we always use hand signals it was just one of those days someone made a mistake and didn't get away with it. Besides that it was great meeting you Mike and your welcome. We BBQ'd a prime rib Saturday night while the snow was falling kids had a snowball fight with Mom and I'll post the video soon. Jon and I got to do a cool ride. Over all it was still a good weekend!
