I rode my 500 with a teraflex for the first time today and wow what a bite, however I need to put a bigger rear sprocket as I keep killing it at low speeds, My question is: What sprocket combo do you guys run when using the beefmaster tire? I had one on my old xr600 but it was already low geared so I didnt notice it as much. another thing I noticed that I can live with is it sits higher in the back, I guess I can lower the shock or just ride it till Im used to it. what are y'alls opinoins?

Generally speaking, taking 1 tooth from the countershaft sprocket is like adding 4 to the rear.
Its cheaper, and you can keep the same chain.

did you notice the front end feels wierd running the teraflex? mine feels a lot looser or wobblier maybye it just has so much traction now that the front is barely touching the ground at most times .....

So does anyone run one of these for "normal" riding and not just hillclimbing?

if you never road one made in the USA you wont know the differance. they lasted about 3-4 times longer than the new ones. I could fricken wast a new tera flex in a weekends ride now days . I still have 1 or 2 left that are cut made in the USA.
Still a monster tire I just like the Maxxis SI or the M5B better for my riding. keep in mind I have went through my share of tera flex

ya know, I think you are right! I had no idea they were different. but I had one on my old xr600 and it lasted a long time, but the one i just put on already is showing wear after only a 2 hr ride. that must be why.
