i picked up a 38mm PWK air striker carb that is off a 2000 KTM 380 EXC from ebay for $86 shipped.

im putting this on my AF, i need to know where a good place to start for the jetting, while i have it out. its a PITA to get the carb boot on. so i don't want to touch it unless i have too. all i know is it has a 170 main, same as my PJ. im too lazy to run out to the garage to check the needle, clip position and pilot right now.

170 main, 55 pilot, 1368 needle in the third (maybe 2nd) clip and 1.5 turns out on the airscrew.

Does it have the right size needle/seat to allow the gas in that the 5hundy requires?

you'll definitely want to change the needle...just switch all your stuff over from your PJ (needle, main and pilot) but you will probably want to go 5-10 sizes smaller on the Pilot.

i put the stuff from my PJ in it. 170m, 55p, 1368 3rd, and put the AS at 2 turns out. i didn't let it warm completely up, but it does seem rich on the pilot. ill let it get warmer tomorrow. the pilot i took out was a 45, i may put it back in, just to see what it'll do.

but OMG, this thing has some throttle responce now. i spun out in the road in front of my house turning around and scraped my knee up preaty good. i need to get it out on a track and dial in the jetting and the suspention. first race is in 4 weeks.
