Apparently I am to be in Desert Mountain that weekend and can try and slip away for a ride Sat or Sun a.m. Anyone know the area and have suggestions? I don't know AZ law so I would need to know which would be better a plated dual-sport or a CA green sticker-legal bike that has not yet been registered or maybe it doesn't matter in AZ.

Desert Mountain is a exclusive golf and country club community. There is no riding alowed there. You could go east to SR87 though, and ride in the coves or something. You won't need any registration, just ride where everyone else does, and when a cop comes (rare), bail!

Already got the G2 on Desert Mountain, and getting a little old for legging it from the Old Bill. Anyone else?
