Found this site by accident, can be found occasionally on the other cr500 site. Ugly1171 comes from a play on my name (not from physical imperfections! LOL) & the engine capacity of my old Z1000J. Building a supermoto hybrid/AF/AFC to go have some fun & scare myself on trackdays. Hopefully i've attached some pictures.

Manchester or greater Manchester? My brother lives in Rochdale, often go up there to watch United & visit him of course..... LOL I'm from Peterborough in sunny Cambridgeshire. Had two weeks in California (Newport Beach) back in the eighties, good holiday, can't say too much my wife keeps looking over my shoulder.................... Have they got proper beer there yet?

Ickenham on the outskirts of London. Have lived here in Southern California since 1986 and consider it home. It's freaking expensive and yes somewhat full of fruits, nuts and flakes if you get my drift. But the beach, weather, hobby potential, and eye candy are awesome. Hey I've even been hanging out with Northerners!

welcome, that gen 1 is sic! i think gen 1's are my favorite in respect to looks.. ive yet to ride an AF but i hear they are great for people/giants such as myself. i had a Freind in Sheffield I believe, ive raised pigeons since i was a kid, tipplers mainly, and a guy named Jack Prescott lived there.. he was a wealth of knowledge and taught me alot about the sport of high flying endurance pigeons.

Thanks for the welcome folks. I rip my brother about being a northern monkey, flat cap, whippets & pigeons & i get southern shandy drinker back.
Danny, my memories of California evenings were how cold it got on the beach (amongst others! ) compared to evenings on european beaches.
Got to pass on bad news about Corrie, Vera's dead. The nation is in mourning!
The chain is the last thing to be fitted otherwise i'd be riding it with all the little tidying up jobs still to be done.
My favourite Monty Python quote was from "live at the hollywood bowl" Your (american) beer is like making love in a canoe, Fu*king close to water! Used that a few times over in the states when engaged in some friendly banter about England & our former colony............

Do you remember when the Python crew went on some talk show and supposedly brought Graham Chapman in an urn and then knocked it over half way through the interview?
