Clark tank gas cap gone bad.

Well this is the second time that the rubber piece on the inside of the cap has fallen apart. Its been less than a year since a new one. Discovered it at Jawbone and I think Zorack saw it?
I only use 91 pump and an oz of Octane Boost per gallon, must be some good $h!t. I'd expect race gas to do worse.
Guess I better order another and complain about it.

Ill bet its something funky in that crappy octane booster.
Prolly eating your crank seals too.

i have had that problem on my IMS and i have heard a few other people have the problem with clarke and IMS. mine i used for 5 years no problem, then all of a sudden there are alot of people having problems. from the research i have done, im preadty sure its the ethanol in the gas that is drying out the seal causing it to crack and fall in. all i ever use is 92/93. i tried 110 afterthat, but my bike doesn't like it, (need to rejet)

Had the same problem, I'm on my second Clarke cap, I only use pump gas.

My original Clarke cap gave up the ghost after just a couple rides. But the one they sent me to replace it has done just fine. 4 years now. I hope it doesn't fall apart
