There is a guy out west who has built a Turbo sabertooth 500 quad that dynoes at 175 RWHP, this is no bull. It is a after market 500 cc cylinder that goes on a TRX 250 bottom end but the tranny cannot take it and goes away. Last report I heard a year ago was the quad was deadly fast and was going to win a big hill shoot contest up against the likes of 1400cc 4 cylinder 4 stroke 500HP turbo quads but the trans blew. I know the power is suppoded to be violent as hell and the configuration in size is not practical for a normal dirt bike. POWER IS UNREAL and a good CR 500 stock should make over a 100 with one just bolted up and some companies at this very moment are getting them sorted out for 2 smokes!

I saw a sled with a turbo, like a articat 900 er something...CRAZY, I wounder how you keep the boost up when the piston is down and it can just flow right out the exhaust...

This is why im looking at multi cyl. like 3 or more.I think the bosst would be more stable...

Then again, rotary valve induced would prolly help that too...

For a ski nitrous would be cheaper and a hell of a lot easier to tune.

Do it!!

The biggest hurdle is going to be supplying the turbo with pressurized oil...

Maybe, but that oil is gonna get HOT and needs to be at a pretty high pressure. Not sure of a source for a pump like that...

Just get a V6 2 stroke, direct injected boat motor...

I talked with the guy out west, CPI industries gave me his #. This guy is supposed to be a wiz with making the most rad 2 smokes on earth.

He told me a turbo 2 smoke is so radical it is only good for drag racing and hill shots. toggle switch hit beyond anything you have ever thrown a leg over. totally uncontrolable for regular use at least that is what he had me believe.

He said he machined the whole appt for his quad and would not be mass producing them and lead me to believe a setup no matter who makes it would be very exspensive and lead me to believe that it is to dangerous for a company to promote or him anyhow. Lawsuits!

It peaked at 175 RWHP on his dyno and in hill shoot trim it was making 165.
