Did the seller represent it as a 39? That is wrong and you should get your money back. I don't think you can hog it out 3mm's. Sorry to hear the trouble.

no he didnt say it was a 39. what is the max you can bore? so the carbs are the same except for the inside diameter. do they take the same needles and jets

the 36 is a different housing, and boring it 3mm is A LOT. the 38mm is the same housing as the 39, so it can definitly be bores to that size.

You definitely want to get the right size....there are a lot of PWK's out there and people dont know what they have. I got mine from a person selling it for a 95 KTM 200 or 300. I called the local KTM shop to see what carb they came with. 39.5 PWK. All I had to do was get the correct needle and jets for it (which Bobs post on the other forum helped me out big time with the jetting). I got it for only $45 with shipping and $20 worth of parts to set it up how I want....priceless. You can just switch your present needle over and get the correct jets for it.

I cleaned my PJ carb up real good, included the jets and needle I didn't need. give it a good description and somebody bought it now for $90.
So I got a better carb and made 20-30 bucks on the deal.
