i would appreciate input from some hoons on this bike ( i want freemers However, the distance is going to be the killer, i dont forsee a time in the near future when i can jam down to L.A to get it.. anyone going to L.A with room for a bike on the way back :D ), heres the skinny

1987 cr500 $1,000

comes with ( cut and paste from sellers email) "baja tank, stock tank, crawling tire, paddle tire, 2 stroke oil, fork oil, spark plug, triangle stand, some extra nuts and bolts, and some over flow tubbing, gear oil and the bike its self has a new clutch like 10 min on it new clutch purge, new clutch cable, new renthal bars, new grips, new brake pads front and rear, new fmf muffler with spark arrester, new back tire only 3 rides on it, heavy duty tubes front and rear, new radiators, i have pink slip and current registation till 2009"

seller sent me 10 pics of the bike and its goodies, it appears it also comes with more stock radiator shrouds. in the pic i posted, im assuming the spark arrester is the incorrect unti since it sticks out so far?, maybe this pic was before the new pipe but that doesent look like a new fmf to me, ill have to clear that up. any input, suggestions or anything? thanks guys

Hmm - I like the "new clutch purge" feature. Thats a new one! ;)

That spark arrestor/silencer is huge! (or at least thats what she said)

the owner sounds like a jack ass, I wouldn't give him $1000. Who knows what the internals are like. When I got my '86 it looked OK and ran, but I had to rebuild the whole thing. It had a bunch of problems intenally, it was on its last bore that was really worn with a gouge where the exhaust bridge wasn't releived. The drain plug was stripped and the waterpump was corroded like crazy. If I were you, I'd go with Freemers '87 for $1000. You know it is mechanically sound and maintained by someone who actually knows these bikes.

I agree...depends on how many extra nut and bolts he has and how many times it has been apart.
