Top shock Mount Query

Hello everyone.
Should the shock sit centrally between the top mounting brackets or is it offset to one side?
The shock on my '95 bike sits over to the RHS bracket (when looking from behind) and there is a gap of around 10 or 15mm over to the LHS bracket.
The shock reservoir is badged as 'Techno Flex' so i think it may be an aftermarket shock which the previous owner fitted and I'd like to make sure that it's sitting as it should at the mounting points (no spacers / bushes missing etc).

See how the shock sits over to the RHS?
Should itsit centrally?
Are there spacers / bushings etc missing?
It doesn't look quite right to me...

it is mounted correctly, and is a stocker that looks to have been anodised and revalved by that name stuck to it. Give the old girl a bath and get to riding!

oh, wait, nevermind, it looks to have been rattle canned, the dirt made it hard to see. still, thats how they mount.
