A new member ( Ryan) came by my house last night, brought some Beers...so you know he's an "A" list-er.....

We talked allot about the sites history, who's- who, and about my gen 4 500A/F.

He has a 2001 steelie, and is also having a A/F bike built, and plans on coming out to ride with us. His 7 year old rides too, so we should plan a few more "Kid Friendly" rides like we did at Easter and Thanksgiving last year.

He's been around the scene forever, has lots of campfire stories to tell.

I think he's going to be a great addition to the gang...

Dick Cepek's was my home away from home when I was a kid. I loved shopping there for atc parts, 4x4 stuff, or just dreaming. Used to go to the one in Whittier and the one in Anahiem all the time. Wonder what ever happened to the "BAJA BOOT"? Most folks have no clue what that was when I ask them. I still have a catalog from the late 70's early 80's around somewhere. I bet growing up was fun for Ryan, has he ever raced the Baja 1000? To cool!

My aunt and uncle lived across the street from you guys, Bob and Jo Durant. Most people remember them from all the video games and pinball machines they had in their garage, he used to repair and rent them. I spent a lot of time over there, as well as the park at the end of the street, lot's of frisbee thrown there for sure man! Sound familiar????

Yep, that's them. They relocated down to Valley Center and still grow the avo's as well as almonds now. Small world, can't believe I still have that many memory cells, look forward to meeting up with ya!

I also just met Liz from Ultraseal, she's one of my customers. Apparently her husband co-drove a Cepek truck back in the day?
