Just remember the trade off, higher means closer, so dont get carried away rotating the bars forward to make up for this, as you will start feeling it in your wrists. If you find yourself feeling like the bars are gonna smack your knees, then you will need the Bobbers rotators to correct the bar angle...

I always had issues with feeling like I was being pulled over the front when standing on my steelie, I never really thought it was the bars untill I got my AF and noticed it had a more comfy position. Bob has been telling me for years to get taller bars but as im only 5'11" I dint think it was the issue.

I installed these on the steelie and damn what a difference, I can now stand without feeling unstable on the bike.

i definitly dont want closer, i already feel like the bike is kinda stubby length wise ( also feels too short but i know how to fix that.. lift blocks  ). i think i will need the rotators then. ide like to check out a bike with the flex bars too though, but im wondering if the bars are going to feel wiered because of their flexing

I have been on two bikes now with Flexx bars (Rob's and Bob's) really liked the bars didn't notice any flexing but they didn't seem to vibrate much at all.
Once I get some extra $$ I am going to get me a set.

Hell I notice the flexxing all the time. But then look at my pics, I'm always landing off something.

Zoack tells me he doesn't like them because of that.

Its the rotating the bars to far forward that gets me. I've almost crashed hard twice from having them to forward. Hasn't happened since I put them back. I'm 6'3" btw.

Running the reds too. The blacks are stiffer. Yellows are softer than reds, I think.

ah, ok, didn't he make your gen-1 kit too?
I think my cousin bought his gen-1 chassis from him too.

you made my gen 1 kit, he also made me a stabilizer mount for my gen 1 as scotts did not carry them any more

Posted: August 6th, 2009, 12:07 pm
by dannygraves
but you have more than 1 gen-1, I thought toyu maker made you a set of mounts for your 1st gen-1 since my kits weren't ready yet. Of coarse my memory could be messing with me.
