How about have him make up some of those works "HONDA RACING" covers that were sold years back until Honda got pissed?

I'd buy one with the exact font of the works Honda's in a second. Add some powder coating, maybe to replica the newer Honda's brownish color, and make that half a second.

Bare would be fine and I could have it PC'd.

Hope something comes of this.

I honestly think a bare finish would be best then once we get them we could do whatever we wanted be it paint, powdercoat, or polished. Just my $.02

HAHAHA, hey, I'm probably going to be riding it this afternoon if my package from sudco gets here! I'm gonna be tops another month of no riding trips. Hell with the whole baby thing, I'm still going to be out of it for less time than Bob was for his gen-4 build :D

Well. Here they are and some pictures too!
The machining, fit, finish, and details are outstanding. Any apperant defects are from digital photography. These things are hard to photograph due to their reflectivness and shape. I'm giving Shan some feedback to improve them even more, and then they should become available.

Image
Interior of clutch cover.O-Ring channel cut perfectly. Outside diameter slightly larger than oem, dosent "flush out" on side case. I will give Shannon the info to correct this.

Image
Interior of stator cover. cover cut perfectly to accept factory rubber seal. The "squiggles" are shadows from machining, not physically there.

Image
Stator installed. Slightly shorter screws were needed. Shannon can increase boss length so OEM screws can be reused. Cover appears very deep to accept any brand flywheel weight. Its a beautiful piece.

Image
Photo shows cover to Shifter clearance... pretty tight, but workable. Shifter is CR500 type.

Image

Image
These two photos compare my old cover, and the new. My old cover is "lower" and appears thicker. I'm sending it to Shan for reverse engineering. This thing has taken MANY blows, barely even scratched.

Image
Overhead photo of clutch cover. It installed with out any brake adjustment needed. Brake lever pad tucks just under cover. Cover thickness, while greater, dosent appear to be an issue in boot placement. A few runs up the street didnt feel much different, but the true test comes in the dirt.

Image

Last two photos show how Ger-Bitichin' it looks. ..even without the engraving being contrast painted.

A fantastic effort Shan, the production covers will be even better!!!!!

:woot: :woot: :woot:

The line forms to the left........

funny, my wife just said the same thing! LOL....different "set" of course. I'll be plugging in the feedback from Bob and making a few tweaks of my own (cosmetically). They should be good to go after that. I'll post pricing for each and as a matched set after i get those changes into the design.

I am hoping we can get orders for 10 sets that are specific to this site. After that, I will consider other logos and/or script, but the less parts made at a time, the more expensive they can be. Likely, I'll have 20 sets made without anything, and then put them back in the machine for custom stuff.
