I mistenly thought all Hondas had Showa and bought a 2006 cr125 shock. It ended up as some know a KYB shock and NOT Showa. The dimensions are off a bit with the spring being somewhat narrower and the length approximately 8mm longer.

Is this something I can still use or do I need to send it back?

I just got a CRF250 shock off of ebay for my 97cr250. I was going to change out the bottom clevis but then it would have been way too short. It is less then 1/4 inch longer then my CR250 shock so I just installed it. Looks good and fit perfect. I dont do anything too crazy so it should work out perfect.
