So I went out to Apex yesterday with MFDB and his friend Jason. It was an awesome day of riding. At first we were waiting around for Jason's friend and his son to catch up, but had tons of fun pointing at hills and going "hey, lets climb that". I even partook in doing some small jumps (which I never do for mangina reasons) :D . We hit some really gnarly looking hills with ease (a lot looked worse than they were) and enjoyed the atmosphere (I alwasy trip out on the yellow, green and red dirt). It was cold as a mother you know what, so we rode hard to keep warm :D .
After gassing up we separated from Jasons qwad buddies and really opened things up. We hit this real mans trail that goes along the AFB fence, it my favorite area there. Really crazy whoops sections with piles of rocks in between with constantly changing terrain. One second you're in some nice tacky dirt, then next fine powdery sand, tons of fun!
I caught one pic of a hill none of up made it up first try. Justin stalled it right infront of me, then I lost my momentum and made it about 10-15 more feet before I ran out of steam. In this pic I'm about 3/4 of the way up and Justin is about 2/3 and Jason was going for his second try.

yeah, we really need some helmet cams especially for that time I got my bike stuck in the sand with the front end stuck up in the air and the whole rear wheel in the ground. I bet that looked sick.

Yeah, same here. Sara is due jan 2nd, but she just called me from the OB and they say she may go into labor before the scheduled c-section date, so I can't be more than 15 minutes away from home. Oh well, maybe early next year... :D
