I just bought what I thought was a complete 89 CR500, and it looks like I should have done more research! Got the bike home and come to realize it has an 85 engine in it! (No wonder the fmf expansion chamber was beat to hell to get it to fit) I’m not too bummed because from what I’ve read the 85 engine had the most horsepower. However I’m realizing fitting an expansion chamber on will be a difficult task. Any suggestions on how to go about thIs problem? Frame is 89 CR500, engine is an 85.
