Just checking in.
Picked up a 89 CR500. It has a 39.5 MM Keihen carb, PC pipe, flywheel weight and probably a couple other minor things I'm forgetting.
I have a complete 03 CR250 front end to swap on there, and am looking at all the potential pitfalls that I could run into.
Other plans include revalving the forks & shock (96+ replacement maybe) and a 19" rear wheel (have one from a 01 CR250).
Mostly ride around slowly at the local track, with the occasional desert and trail ride. The bike's only going to be really "excercised" when my son takes it out.
It keeps my YZ250 and KX125 company. Yes, I like pingers.
