01' 500 with 250 sparky parts

Sooooo I haven't been on here in about the last 5 years. Finally picked up another 5hundy with an AF frame, swingarm and shock. The PO claims he installed an electrical system from a 96 250 other than an electrosport stator. It didn't have spark when I purchased the bike so I got a better deal. I now have an intermittent spark but she still won't start. I have done a search here and google and haven't really found solid info. If someone has done this swap and still has the 500 stuff I would be happy to trade. I don't care about the thing revvvvvving to the moon if I ever get it started. I just want it to be a normal unmolested 500.

I guess nobody gets on here anymore. I went ahead and ordered all new 01' 500 ignition. Tore the 250 shit off and it's going on fleabay.

Hadn't seen the post, could've run a 500 stator/fltwheel on the 250 cdi

Yeah I probably could have but I wanted her back to stock. Gonna put the 250 stuff on fleabay unless someone here wants it first.
