Intake manifold

Ripped the intake manifold on my bike. It has a 86 motor in 98 cr250 frame. Is there a difference in manifolds though out the years? Mine never really lined up good.

I guess what I'm asking is will a 89 manifold work on a 86 motor. The 86 is not available.

if you're content with the fitment now then get the same thing. the 1989-01 model is a longer rubber boot on it

Actually a longer boot would be better. If the 89 bolts up I'll try to get that one. Thanks.

yes, bolts up, need to cut the tounges off it is all

Tongues? What tongues? Also on my search for the manifold I ended up finding a mikuni carb that was on a 89 500. Is the mikuni better than the stock pj?

The newer style boot fits better in the gen1 frame.

Ok I figured out the tongues. Does anyone know anything about a mikuni g720 carb? I can't find any info anywhere on it and I'm not even sure it was meant for the 500.
