Roosty had a set a while back.

It strikes me as odd that with the high value of these gears nobody is currently making them. How difficult could it possibly be make a run of custom gears in a proper shop.... Or is it a copyright issue?

Easy to make, you would just need enough sets to get the price down and make it worthwhile for the machine shop making them.

I chased this when I had a new billet set i could have used for dimensions. Guys like Phil Denton Engineering in the UK are making custom cr250 gear sets for their vintage bikes, His son Stevie figured they'd cost about 250$ per gear to make the 5 pieces in quantities of 10. They were not interested in replicating them for their own sales and I didn't feel like having that $ tied up.

I'm sure you've thoroughly explored this before but could you purchase gears used in different bikes and replicate the HRC wide ratio setup?
