Yes I have read the endless threads on here about jetting. But I'm still a little lost.

CR500 aluminum frame with a 1990 CR500 engine.
39 PWK
Stock engine
PC Pipe and silencer
Boyesen Rad valve with torque spacer

55 Pilot
172 main
1 1/2 A/S
7 slide
DGN needle in the 3rd position.

About 800 ft elevation. 50 degrees. Bike starts great cold. When it's hot, you have to hold the throttle wide open to start. Seems to be a little rich down low, and a little lean on top.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

55 pilot in a PWK seems way fat.

That's exactly how it acts. Need to order a couple more jets.

put a 42 in there... start at 1/2 turn on the airscrew and turn out if you want it leaner

Yup... If you can start it cold... with the choke off.... its too fat on the pilot.

About 60 degrees out and I can start it without the choke. dead cold. With the bike all warmed up, I have to hold the throttle wide open to get it to start.
Just ordered up some more pilots today. Got a 42, 45, and 48 coming.
