DG Performance pipes?

Has anybody ever tried current DG Performance "R" series stock replacement pipes? $99!!!

On my '90 500r, I really thought the stock pipe hit harder than the FMF I put on it, and eventually went back to it, as I loved the "hit" it gave versus the near linear curve of the FMF Gnarly.
Now I have a '95 that came with an FMF Gnarly and a Turbocore Spark arrestor, and the bike seems a bit corked. First thing I'm gonna do is lose the SA and put a PC 304 on it. If that doesn't make me happy, I may look into a new pipe, and was wondering if anybody anywhere has ever tried DG's pipe. It amazes me how they were once Top of the Line, and now they aren't even considered an "also ran"...Did they get bought out by Lepers or something?
I figure they just gave up on the whole R&D part of it...
...But if their R-Series can give me that stock "hit" for only $99...very tempting.
Yes, I realize the bikes became more and more gimped through the '90's, but can't I dream of getting back a little more punch?

people must really hate the dg's to not even reply here. I had the stock/dg/then fmf gnarly. In my opinion the stock is great for a top end hit. And the dg seemed to hit just above mid throttle about right in the middle of the curve. but for the ridin I do I prefer the bottom end grunt of the fmf gnarly. If you want a pipe that you dont mind scratchin or denting get the dg. If you dont want to be ridiculed by your friends go with something chromed.. btw after I put a near baseball sized dent in the side of the dg pipe it functioned a lot better, no kiddin! also I think the dg is a little tougher than the fmf.. my fmf pipe looks dimpled like a golf ball after a couple of seasons and the dg was still smooth..

We feel there is a need for a high quality stock replacement pipe at a reasonable price. Many riders who smash their stock pipes would prefer a good stock replacement pipe over a hard to ride performance pipe. Stock pipes work extremely well from the f

Anybody have experience with the Dynoport pipes?

Saw the name in Mike's(TeemTrubble) post and I had not heard of this product.

I was just looking at that myself. I've been looking for a high reving pipe, and they make a rev pipe for the kx500, so I'm thinking about calling them to see if they make one for the CR

H0240- 500 CR -1985-1988 Big Volume Pipe FACTORY- $234.95

this is what they had for mine.
i think they would be a little better than a big name pipe due to the fact that they are not a big name. so they can spend more time on research and development as well as fit and finish
