I have a mild ported (basic clean up exhaust raised up about 1 mm) and a re chambered head 87 cr500 motor in a 2001 af frame I'm looking to upgrade my rad valve and 38 pj with either stock reeds or v force.... I was gonna put a bored out 39mm pwk on it (41.5)

but now I see pulse injection and smart carbs?? I like simple things and I like the pwk carb what would the advantages or did advantages be for all these things?

any help would be appreciated. we ride slow trails and also climb hills with our bikes and do the drag race with buddies so it needs to be a good all around set up

If you want to do the cheapest upgrade, just put on a 39.5 PWK then you will retain all the gains said to be on the bottom and mid range. V force, you may or may not feel any difference.

Roostie probably has the most experience with both the smart carb and pulse system.
