Newbie in Georgia. Just sayin hey

Post by Hondadug »

Hey folks.

Glad to be here. I'm from Oregon and am down here at UGA trying to finish my PhD in plant genetic engineering, but most importantly, trying to finish my 2004 CRF450 to CR500 conversion. I was a machinist/welder in the Army and formerly a farm mechanic.

I have learned so much from reading this site and may have a couple things to contribute. I have read this site so much I can almost hear Alisbob saying "I don't like that" when I do something questionable with my build. My wife even let me lay down a carpet and keep it in the living room. Hell, she even worked on the coolant lines. All she can say is "that thing looks violent"

Well, thanks for having me and hopefully I get to meet some other Hoons for a ride.

I will try to post a pic here for the first time. Lets see if it works. Sorry, I don't have any riding pics with me.

Ok. Well that didn't work right. Let me try again so I can figure out how to post pics directly in the thread. I'm new to the message board thing.

Welcome. I'm interested in following your CRF build. I'm doing one myself.

Ya. I got a cool wife. She suggested I build the bike in the living room so i can see the tv. When I was bitching about my coolant lines she picked up the box of hoses and went to work. Wasn't right but gave me an idea. Plus she makes the best Chinese food you ever ate. (She's Chinese). Also encourages buying guns and ammo. Prob better than I deserve
