The chances are very high that '08 is gonna be the last adelanto GP in its current layout.
Whose gonna hit it this year? I think we should get as many as possible from this site and all have a stab at the open class on sunday.
Its normally the last weekend in feb and has been growing every year, last year there were over 100 thousand people show up.
I normally show up early friday and setup camp about 5-6 corners from the start line.
They havent posted anything on the site yet but Ive been checking it daily.

Ah that isnt good. Well I dont think they're going to do away with it entirely, do you? I have yet to race in it - but I've always watched.

If you noticed last year the MX track layout was different and in a slightly different spot, one big thing missing was the over/under.
There was a lot of talk that last years race was gonna be the final one.
Adelanto is one of the fastest growing parts of the high desert and houses are taking over

Yeah housing is going nuts out there. It is a trip camping out right accross the street from an apartment building.

No membership to any racing organisations needed, no spark arrestors needed, no tags needed

Just don't wad yourself up on the water jump. That water looks really cold.
If I remember right isn't it $35 or $45 early registration then around $55 to $65 to register on race day?

I think it kind of changes for each year with all the new housing being built out there. It's mostly desert with two sections on tracks. Atleast that's the way it was last year.

I'm no good at the jumps, except when I accidntally hit one, then they always come out nice, its all in my head, I hesitate at aproach. Oh well, I hope there aren't too many crazy jumps in this race.

You dont have to hit the water jump you can just hit the 5ft whoop section next to it instead........
If you want to know what the track layout is just picture your favorite desert trail then add in 3 ft whoops the entire length...... Then invision riding with 300 other buddies that want to kill you..... Then when you are really tired from all the whoops you see a supercross style track with 5000 people just waiting for you to hurt yourself bigtime..... Then when you are finally through all that you do it 2 more times!!!!
It fun as hell man and something you will NEVER forget
