Ouray, Colorado ride

Post by jbird_710 »

Some friends talked me into going with them on a ride to Colorado. We trailered up from Galveston. Texas to Ouray, CO. We stayed in Ouray and rode over to Silverton the first day and back (over trails) as a shakedown cruise. The next four days we went to Gunnison, Crested Butte, Delta, and back to Ouray taking as much trails as possible. The guy leading was using GPS ( which he was in constant battle with) to find the way. A lot of the back roads ended up at locked gates which required re-routing. Below is a picture of one trail where we took a wrong turn. A 650L has no business on rocks. Have even a greater appreciation of those guys riding Erzberg.
