Any one know what the gap is suppose to be between the flywheel and the pickup coil? I am getting a spark knock / detonation when under load sometimes. I remember this fixing the problem on my kx250. I am pretty sure my jetting is good.

93 octane, I really don't wanna have to run 110. To expensive haha... I am going to try 110 when I get the bike back up an running though. I am putting a crank kit and piston in it now. But regardless I need to know what gap to run for when I put it back together.

I know there are lots of those out there that don't agree butt....
I run straight AV gas, 100LL, they say 100 octane but I've had it tested, long time ago, it was actually 016 and they use lead like the good race fuels to get the octane, I can't say for sure but I don't think you have to deal with the ethanol problems either. it's cheap race gas, smells good too

Seriously, if you care about the machine, anything less than 98 RON is cruelty ! I don't even run my lawnmower on that 91 octane crap !
