It looks good....

"Made from hardened alloy steel with a rust-resisting zinc plating, the quality of our fasteners is far superior to most of the OEM and hardware store bolts."

WTF does that mean? Grade 8.8? 10.9?? Not listing it looks real fishy...

Not even their website states the material quality..

http://www.tekbolt.com/default.asp

pretty strange...

I have a couple of those kits I think. Have to ask Shanman for sure though, their at his place, but I think that was the brand. They work fine. never had one break .

Not that it adds legitimacy, but they do advertise in the back of Dirt Bike mag.

Looks fine to me, it's not like those are replacements for critical load bearing attachments. And the kit beats paying dealer prices for each bolt individually. Not to mention the hassle of finding the correct ones at a local hardware place. As for Fastenal or McFadden Dale, obviously they rock when needing certain items, but that kit has merit too.

Spare bolts are ALWAYS handy to have in the tool box.

I get my spares just following Brit around with a magnet hanging off my forks..

...too bad most are cross threaded though.

E bay has some hardware from someone parting out a bike and you usually get alot more than some nuts and bolts. I got radiator hoses, a new chain, and misc shit that costs a hell of a lot more than what I paid for it. Check out keepitroostin. They are always parting out new bikes

I have bought a TekBolt kit once when I had no fasteners and it got me going. Then I top up the kit with specific items bought at Denault's Hardware. I think their supplier is American Fasteners? There is one specific washer size that comes in the kit that is near impossible to find elsewhere.

Cool, I think it would serve a useful purpose for me, especially since I am just getting back into bikes.

I buy one of those kits everytime I start working on another bike and keep a plastic conatinier full of spares in my gear bag. The funny thing is I've never had to use them for my bike, but its always handy for everyone else.
