When I got my first one, I was slowly priming it with the kicker and it started.
I was way down low on the stroke and it was very slow like when you're looking for TDC.
That's why I put my finger on the kill button when I rock it back and forth in gear.

Now, out on the trails I'll go through what that kid did until I stop, think about what I'm doing and very deliberately go through the routine.
When I go through the routine, it usually starts first kick.

I especially have to go through the routine on my 480.
But, the missing ingredient with that bike was, get my toes on the kicker so I could get a full swing under the left footpeg.
Sometimes, I have to stand on something but not every time, depends how loose I feel.
Usually starts first or second kick and is so satisfying. :)

Thats pretty cool. My buddy has one of those KTM adventure deals and they weigh about as much as a Harley, no kickstarter, and it would be hell to push....never thought of that.
