1st ride on the Gen1

still in it's original configuration as a 250.
Couple of thoughts...since this was my first time aboard a CR in about 15 years.
The bike felt taller and narrower than my 85 500; reminded me of early 90's KX that I rode once. I do not like the way the 250 is geared. I expect that the 500 will creep along a little more to my liking.
I really like the braking this bike offers.
Glad I didn't ride a newer bike, cause I would have been sure to like it more yet. Maybe after I get this first one built, I can do a later model.
And the gods let me know today that I still have my usual luck...checked CL to see if anything new popped up. There was a 99 about two miles from my house and looks in the pics to be very nice. 1500.
I should buy it too and have a spare.
