I've always ran distilled water or distilled water + water wetter, but I am rethinking the distilled water bit.

I'm a plumber, and when plumbing R.O. water, metallic piping is a no-no, since the water is pure H20 it is what I've heard called "hungry water" in that without the mineral, it is more corrosive (ions and neutrons and trying to bond to stuff and whatever, cant remember all the names and stuff chemistry class was a long time ago)

Should I be concerned with running distilled water?

What are you guys running / why?

R.O water and Distilled water are basically the same thing, just from a different process.

Both are fine to run in a cooling system.

I used premixed "Dexcool", watered down slightly.

Its cheap.... and a gallon will fill the whole system 4 times.

Stuff like Engine Ice / Water Wetter seem real expensive for doing nothing.

STRAIGHT water cools the best, and is the cheapest thing out there. Why muck it up?

regular antifreeze runs hotter and dosent cool quite as good, but boils at a higher temp.... another big benefit is it lubricates the waterpump seal so your less likely to blow one on the side of the trail....
